I had an early wake up so took my book and crept out to the buffet and read my book until a more respectable time. After breakfast, we decided to have another go at indoor bowls and having never yet won a game from Sydney to Dover, plus a two week break, the last thing we expected was a win of any sort, so to win overall was a shock and a surprise! It has become very popular and as it starts at 9:15am, we were usually settling down with a coffee by about 9:30, so doing well meant coffee was delayed until about 10:30!
Our return to the dance class was a swing jive session with a couple of new steps. We need some method of memorising all the new moves from Dover!
We made a slight error of judgement at lunch time. We tend to wander into the buffet and just collect our food. For those not familiar with the layout, it is in two identical sides with an entry from each side of deck 14. What we forgot was that at the end of the buffet lines, the gap between may be filled by a speciality of the day. Today it was Tapas, but we had already loaded our plates, so had to top up with a few extras afterwards!
Quiz was 14/20 – but they were nearly all repeats, so our collective memories must be fading!
Formal night (again for us – but the first for those who joined at Fort Lauderdale of course) and we had discussed going in short sleeved shirts with bow ties etc – but decided that in deference to the first timers, we should conform. Afterwards, we watched the comedian again but the lack of sleep was catching up with me and I nearly nodded off a couple of times.
No dancing for us but we were happy just watching the others and there seems to be more people in the atrium than previously. There are several New Vogue dancers joining in with stuff we haven’t seen before.
